Basketball

It is now 2:05 on Friday morning. I have been watching basketball since noon on Thursday.
I have been checking my picks--me thinks I am not doing so good. But that is what happens when you GAMBLE. But it is fun.
Right now my eyes are almost shut and I can hardly see what I am doing.
I'll definitely be sleeping in this morning.
I don't have anything to do until 6:30 tonight. I'll be watching the games until 6:30 and catch up up on them when I get back to my apartment about 9:00. And then, I'll be up late again.
I'll be bugeyed by the time they are over.
Until I "blog" the next time I remain "The Smith Matriarch."

Tired Day

I just got back today, after being gone for over a week. I had a wonderful weekend with Linda, Fred, Traci, Jonah and Lydia. Tracie took me to Perrysburg to meet Nancy and I was there until today, March 13.
Thursday night Roge, Nancy and I went to Celina. I don't know if it was in Ohio or Indiana. We met Eric, Brittany and Jack for dinner to celebrate Eric's birthday. We had a wonderful meal. Roge picked up the tab and wouldn't let me pay my share. Ha,
On Friday night night, Nancy and I drove to Lima to pick Roge up, and headed for Chicago. It was late when we arrived and went to bed shortly after. I slept in and felt great when I got up.
Scott asked me if I wanted to play a game of Scrabble, and of course, I am always ready for that.
We finished in time to watch the Ohio State basketball game, and my day was complete when they won and became Big Ten Champs. Oh, by the way, I won the Scrabble game.
Later in the evening we played poker with Scott's new outfit of poker chips. There was no money involved and Nancy ended up with all of chips. Ha.
We got back to Bluffton about 7:30 I think---tired and ready for bed.
Nancy and I played several games of Scrabble--I think she was the winner.
And now it is Tuesday. Nancy met Steve to bring me back to Columbus. Actually it is now Wednesday at 1:11p.m. and I really tired now.
I had a wonderful time with each and every one. I got to see all of my "great" ones except Abby and Anna.
Hopefully, I'll get to see them soon.
As always, I remain "The Smith Matriarch."

The Smith Matriarch

Hello,
I finally figured out how to post on my site.
It is 3:00 in the morning and I am still up. I took a nap after the ball game and I'm not sleepy.
Traci, I finally figured out where I found the "Davy." I explained it to you in an email. Do you remember putting it on a blog? It is an adorable picture of Lydia. It covers the whole screen.
I just checked in to Alex and Tricia's blog and found the picture of things from the Falder home.
That was really something.
Did Mike get any more pictures of Jonah while he was there? I would love to see some pictures of the surrounding area where they lived.
Guess I better go---I am finally getting sleepy.
I guess as "The Smith Matriarch," I am entitled to go to bed and get up when I want to. Love to everyone.

Hello to everyone,
I went to the doctor today. He lanced my ear drum, drained fluid off it and put a tube in.
At first he asked me if I wanted to hear right away and of course I said yes. Soooooo, he wants to do surgery on me. I asked if it would hurt and he said only a second. After it was over, he said he over exaggerates sometime.
But, wheeeeeeeee, I can hear again.
I don't hear the pounding of my pulse in the ear. What a relief. He gave me a prescription for Amoxicillin 875mg. He said that should help my sinus. And another tiny bottle of ear drops to put in twice a day.
After being in for almost three weeks, it was good to get out. It was very cold with 30-40 mile winds.
Steve was a real trooper. I know he hates to shop, so while they were filling the prescriptions, I stocked up pretty good. I really do appreciate the things he does for me. I just don't bother him unless it is absolutely necessary.
Thank goodness I can drive again. I haven't seen my car for some time now. I don't know if it is snow covered or if it will start.
Thanks for all your prayers and concerns.
I love all of you.

It is 7:41 as I write this on February 21st.
I have been up and down all night coughing my head off. I postponed my trip to the doctor yesterday. Rescheduled Thursday. I just didn't feel like going. I'll let you know what the doctor says.
It is a foggy morning--looks almost like a ghost flying around. I don't usually complain about the weather--you can't do anything about it, but I am definitely looking forward to SPRING.

I am praying for little Nora to be a lot better today.

I am looking forward to Ohio State basketball tonight. Wisconsin lost to Michigan State last night, so OSU should definitely be No. 1 in both polls. Hope they beat Penn State tonight.
Have a blogging good day.
I remain The Smith Matriarch.
Love to everyone,
Mother/Grandma.

Hello to everyone,
I am online tonight for the first time today. I didn't get to church again this morning. I have acquired another cold and coughing again. I am supposed to go to the doctor on Tuesday and was hoping to drive myself so I wouldn't have to bother Steve. But, my car is snowed in and hasn't been started for over two weeks.
I got my shower, ate breakfast and read my bible, watched Ohio State play, had company for an hour, played Sudoku in the Sunday paper (which Fred and Linda gave me for Christmas)and worked the crossword puzzle and the Cryptoquote.
I watched a really crazy movie and now I am blogging.
I hope this one shows up. If it does't, I think I will quit trying. I'll just enjoy what the rest of you have to say.
I am praying Nora responds to the medication. Poor little baby, I feel so sorry for her, after seeing her eye last night.
Gotta go--it is 12:45, so better get to bed.
I love you, Grandma.
